Guesthouse testimonials

"We made the decision to travel to the North via Ranua the day before, so were happy to find any accommodation in such a short notice. This place is a very friendly, family-run and ”good old times” establishment. I think the rooms facing the lake in the newer building are more of a hotel standard; the location and the view certainly are beautiful. We got the last room which was in the old building. It was ok, beds were comfy, and the shared wc and showers ok as well. There were several families with small children. The sound insulation is not very good; they should ask visitors to respect that and eg ask that the kids were not allowed to make noise late at night. Breakfast was very adequate; dinner more of a snack / ready-made meals type but ok. All in all, we both liked the place as a nice example of ”good old times”

"Lovely and practical authentic place in a gorgeous setting. The owner took it over recently and tries to improve many things as I write this. I recommend the ice fishing trip with Juha and the salmon soup. We were not lucky to see the aurora borealis (we stayed almost a week) but after we came back, the same evening northern lights appeared, and then 3 more times the same week. So book it, like a week after I book it next time, and you should be good. Lapland is so precious and this was one of the most impressive trips ever!"

"Stayed at the hotel for one night en route from Northern Finland. As a place to spend the night, the hotel suited us perfectly. It is conveniently located relative to the highway. Parking next to the hotel building. The room is small, but it had everything you need, including a microwave, kettle and tea accessories."
