Idyllic courtyard next to a lake
The courtyard of Arctic Guesthouse & Igloos inn is composed of numerous traditional details. In addition to the main buildings built in the 1940s, the yard features a traditional beach sauna and a Lappish hut with a fireplace.
The area also has a caravan and parking area, the inn’s own private beach and plenty of space for year-round activities.
Rustic guest rooms for many needs
The guesthouse has a total of 17 rooms and 49 beds. Rooms range from single rooms to two-bedroom apartments.
All of our rooms are traditional and atmospheric guesthouse rooms that you won’t find in large hotel chain ranges. In addition to the old details, each room also comes with modern amenities such as its own TV, microwave, refrigerator and kettle. Most of the rooms also have beautiful lake views.
Each room reservation includes a complimentary breakfast, free WiFi in public areas of the inn and access to the sauna in the main building.

Enjoy the steams of our traditional lakeside sauna
If you’re looking to experience something very Finnish, we warmly recommend our very own lakeside sauna which was built already in the 1940s.
The gentle steams of the old wooden stove in idyllic surroundings take you to the very heart of Finnish traditions and back to the older times. You can also take a cooling dip in lake Ranua both during summer and winter season.
The lakeside sauna is always warmed up at the request of our clients at a price of 30 € per hour. You can make your booking through our reception.

- Originality: even though we have done lot of refurbishing, we have also decided to respect the older traditions and left the atmosphere of our accommodation in its original and rustic state. You will not find facilities and rooms like these in big hotel chains.
